I really enjoy this place because I can just enter, sit down, and comfortably wait for my friends to show up, without any terrible things happening. I've had some of the food and it was good.

CAUTION! Walk-in service only. Don't even think about driving here. There is a predatory tow truck that sits right around the corner with a look out who will boot/tow your car if you park in their lot for more than 10 min.

Last time...tried to order from here again after not eating here for more than 6 months. Ordered delivery to my office. It was wrong as it always is. Guess I am just not ever eating here again. Had to remake the sandwich because it was just thrown together, big chunks of avocado and pieces of chicken, sandwich fell apart...had to slice the avocado like it normally is at EVERY OTHER Panera location. I don't know if this is just so bad because it is by UNC campus but stay away, paid way too much for missing items and a sandwich that fell apart. Panera is good, just stay away from this one as they do not care.

I used to be a regular (4-5 days a week) for breakfast here. Even though I work right across the street, I now only go as a last resort. I was towed one morning after being a customer there, having left for an hour to run an errand with my girlfriend. This morning I waited in line for 5 or 6 minutes without anyone speaking to me, and I was first in line. There were 3 people behind me all asking what was going on. There was plenty of staff there; all were busy doing other things. If you don't want to order from a kiosk don't bother going. Harris Teeter was one of the first big companies to use the self-checkout, but they did NOT decrease the number of human cashiers as a result of doing that like Panera has. Big mistake. And I guess catering comes first. I came for a bagel but they had none at all at 8:20am, because I was told of a large order they had just filled.Isn't it better to tell someone that wants to buy you out just before the morning rush that they need to place their order 24 hours in advance? That way you don't piss off 50 other customers coming in behind them??? It's surprising that a company this size doesn't seem to realize that they are making these two big mistakes. I finally left $5 on the counter and took a strawberry yogurt parfait. When I got back to my office I noticed it was only half full, including the granola, only 4 slices of strawberry...

The decline in the past 2 years seems to correspond to this change in format, where customers can ring up their own orders on point of sale screens, and how/where the orders are made has changed. This is NOT working well at this location. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Long waits, many mistakes on orders, customers trying to figure out which order is theirs as they're thrown up on the counter with indifference from staff. The home office should not have tried to fix something that wasn't broken. The quality of the staff has also noticeably declined. I don't know how that happened, right next to a major university.
